Puppies, puppies, puppies!
We’d like to thank all who have helped rescue and find the 17 Lab mix puppies a home! We are no longer accepting applications for these puppies because all puppies have been spoken for. We are working on finalizing their adoption.
A big thank you goes to Karen Reader, who saw someone in an SUV drop them off on the side of the road at night and stopped to help these little puppies. They were then brought to the Porter County Animal Shelter who contacted us to help. Also, thank you to all of those who helped rescue the mama, Precious. She is currenty with a foster family and doing very well! Read more about how the puppies were rescued on nwi.com.
If you would like to donate to help these puppies, you can do so at lakeshorepaws.org/donate or by mail to Lakeshore PAWS, P.O. Box 313, Valparaiso.
If you are interested in adopting any of our other puppies and dogs, please view our adoptable dogs here.

Doesn’t our new sign look amazing?! It’s a custom lit sign made by Simko Signs. It was donated to Lakeshore PAWS by Linda Zyla at Century 21 Alliance Group who won the sign during a Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce event.

Help Save Lives and Money! Support the Indiana Companion Animal Sterilization Fund (ICASF)
The ICASF proposes that a fund be established in the state of Indiana to provide free spay/neuter surgery for the dogs and cats of Indiana Medicaid recipients. Other states that have enacted similar programs have realized a savings of $3 for every $1 spent. This means that for every dollar spent on a program to support spaying/neutering, $3 was saved in the expense of picking up, housing, and euthanizing stray animals.
Please sign the petition at change.org and share it with your friends. This will make a huge difference in saving lives and money for Indiana! Visit raiseyourpaw.org for more information.

Kids’ Art Power for Pets Raises Money for Lakeshore PAWS
We would like to thank 7-year-old Valparaiso resident Rosa Cohn for planning, executing, and creating artwork for Kids’ Art Power for Pets, an art show held at Blackbird Café to benefit Lakeshore PAWS! This thoughtful little girl helped to raise more than $500 to help homeless cats and dogs in Northwest Indiana. We all enjoyed a lovely reception for the art show held on January 19 at the café.

25 Days of Christmas Pet Bed Drive
Thank YOU so much to all those who donated to our 25 Days of Christmas Pet Bed Drive. We exceeded our goal for dog beds and were only 4 cat nests away from reaching our goal! We are still accepting pet bed donations.
Our dogs and cats in boarding would love a soft bed to sleep on while they wait for their forever home. Kuranda beds give them a warm, elevated bed to lie on during cold nights. Click below to donate and you will receive a discount!
